The fund was officially announced in 1983 and was named the Social Solidarity Fund, which is the first charitable fund in Bahrain, based on a license issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs under book No. Ann / 41 / 1983, under the umbrella of the Sanabis Club, but with an independent administration from the club.

 Over the past twenty-four years, the Fund has contributed to many charitable and social activities for the people of the region, until this fund has now become a social institution that adopts programs and work projects of an advanced nature and character that reflects the horizons and ambitions of its founders.

 And in cooperation with religious, cultural and social institutions in the region.

• In October 1962, the Sanabis Charitable Fund started working until 1982 (without official announcement).
• From 1983 until 1993, he worked in the name of the Social Solidarity Fund (official declaration).
• In 1994, the name of the Social Solidarity Fund was changed to the Sanabis Charitable Fund when charitable funds spread in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Therefore, the Sanabis Charitable Fund is considered the first charitable fund established in Bahrain.

In 2010, the name of the Sanabis Charitable Fund was changed to the Sanabis Charitable Society. It was published in the Official Gazette on December 2, 2010.
